Friday morning wreck on U.S. 68 leaves two women injured

According to a Marshall County Sheriff's Department press release, Teresa H. Derron, 58, of Osprey, Fla. was traveling west on the highway. She slowed to make a left turn into Jonathan Creek Water. The driver of a car behind her, Laura L. Burkhart, 33, of Benton, failed to notice Derron slowing and struck the rear of the first vehicle.

Marshall County EMS took both drivers to Marshall County Hospital. Both Burkart and Derron were treated and released, according to the hospital.
