Foustein (Sam) Moore Davenport, age 71, of Draffenville, formerly of Burkesville, died at Wednesday, August 17, at her home.

Sam was born on August 13, 1940 in Paducah to J. Bronson and Kate Foust Moore of Gilbertsville. Her family moved to Burkesville in 1941. They returned to Marshall County in 1958.

A graduate of Paducah Community College and Murray State University, she is a retired nurse and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Survivors include her son, David Clay Davenport of Louisville; her brother, Doug Moore of Reidland; two nephews, Brian Moore and Jason Moore; five great-neices and nephews, Chase, Hunter, Ava, Jack and Kate Moore, all of Louisville; two aunts, Ruth Moore Brooks of Paducah and Josephine Moore of Round Rock, TX; several cousins and a very special caregiver, Donna Harrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one nephew.

The Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 20 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Calvert City. Burial followed at Wilson Cemetery in Draffenville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church, 915 5th Avenue SE, Calvert City, KY 42029.
