The advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. until 9 a.m. Friday. Freezing rain, mainly light, and sleet are forecast to develop late tonight and continue through early to mid morning Friday.
A glaze and possibly minor accumulations of sleet may result in hazardous travel conditions during the morning commute to work and school. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has been pre-treating roads across the area in preparation for this weather event.
Temperatures will rise quickly rise to above freezing through midday on Friday.
