DRAFFENVILLE– Since buying Rodney’s IGA in early December, Food Giant has been working day and night to make improvements to the grocery store.

On Sunday the store re-opened and customers noticed some major upgrades. New tile throughout the store, a new deli and bakery counter, new checkout aisles, a courtesy counter and an expanded selection of grocery items are just a few of the improvements.

Managers say more remodeling is in store in the months ahead, including the replacement of produce and cold storage cases.

“We have big expectations for this location,” said Matt Moss, district supervisor with Food Giant. “Our first priority is serving our customers and supporting our community. We are 100% community minded. We think people will like what they find here.”

Food Giant is open from 6 am. until 10 p.m. daily.

A grand opening celebration is being planned in the coming weeks.

Food Giant owns over 100 stores in eight states, including locations in Calvert City and Reidland.
