Voters in Marshall County today turned down a bid to allow legalized alcohol sales after a hotly debated six month campaign. Heavy voter turnout was reported throughout the county, with over 13,000 votes cast. The No vote took a victory over those favoring alcohol sales, by a vote of 6906 to 6211. Precinct-by-precinct totals found the "No" votes prevailing in most every area of the county with the exception of the lakes area. For full details on the vote and local reaction, see tomorrow's Tribune Courier.
