Dorothy Gray Monday, 85, of Cadiz passed away at 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2 at Spring Creek Healthcare in Murray due to a long illness.

She was born on March 9, 1928 in Lyon County to parents, R.C. and Geneva Evelyn Lady Gray.

She was a retired florist and a member of Trigg County Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Collin and wife, Phyllis, Duncan of Benton, and Jackie and wife, Helen, Duncan of Hopkinsville, one brother, Carney Gray of Eddyville, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Monday, stepson, Jimmy Monday, stepdaughter, Frances Gann, sister, Charlene Gray, brother, Leonard Hylan Gray and one grandchild, Macaela Duncan.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6 at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville. Rev. John Mitchell officiated. Burial followed at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville.

Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz handled the arrangements.
