He was a member of Oak Valley Church of Christ and was retired from Pittsburgh Metallurgical (CCMA), where he worked as a furnace operator.
He is survived by a son, Rick Cross, of Austin, Texas; a great grandchild, Seth Cross of Eddyville; and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonas Cross and Hallie Dotson Cross; wife Charlene Johnston Cross; son Donnie Dwain Cross; brothers William Cross and Otho "Mooner" Cross; sister Mary Vickers; and a grandchild.
The funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, with David Hendrickson officiating. Interment will follow in Marshall County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at the funeral home.
