Dr. Cleland Ray “Buster” Freeman, 69 Benton, passed away at 7:23PM Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at his home.

Dr. Freeman graduated from the University of Louisville Medical School in 1977. He was a general practitioner and worked in his private practice until his retirement in 2008. He was a veteran of the United States AirForce.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Hayes Freeman of Benton; two sons, Shannon Freeman and Mitchell Freeman both of Benton; one daughter, Angie Hall of Benton; one step-daughter, Tina Bonds of Benton; four grandchildren, Myranda Hall, Jared Hall, Danielle Minter and Matt Bonds; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Lomprey of Benton; one niece and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Lee Freeman. His parents were Clevus Freeman and Zula Copeland Freeman.

A funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory. Kevin Knees and Rev. Mike Littrell will officiate and burial will follow in the Freeman Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00AM until the funeral hour on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home & Crematory.
