Chris had recently completed his Ironworker Apprenticeship and was a member of Ironworkers Union #70 and former member of Laborers Union #576 and #1214.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Greene Cooper; their daughter, Sydney Nicole Cooper; parents, Billy and Billie Phillips of Paducah and Gary Cooper of Ledbetter; siblings, Brandi Cooper, Dawn Phillips, Kayla Phillips, and Brandon Phillips, all of Paducah, Lynndee Cooper of Ledbetter, and Casey Cooper of Benton; grandparents, Billy Joe “Tobey” and Wanda Wilbourn of Paducah; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Landon Ryan Cooper; grandparents, William and Carol Phillips; grandfather, Nathan Cooper; and great-grandparents, Eddie and Agnes Boyd.
Funeral services were held on November 5, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Coleman officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
A fund for Sydney is being established at Regions Bank and contributions may be made at any branch.
