Mr. Lovett died July 18 at Marshall County Hospital. He attended the Unity Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a 31-year employee of the Tappan Manufacturing Company in Murray. He retired from Fisher Price Toys of Murray where he worked as a maintenance mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Gatewood Lovett and Monica (Mathis) Lovett; brother Thomas Lovett; and three sisters; Lucille Shepherd, Inez Lovett and Imogene Nelson.
He is survived by his wife Alva Lou (Freeman) Lovett; daughter Deborah Lynn Palmer; son Dale Lovett of Kevil; sister, Nelline Jones, of Benton; and four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
