Charles D. Darnall, 95 of Benton passed away at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, July 4 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.

Mr. Darnall retired from CC Metals & Alloys and was a World War II veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Union Hill Church of Christ.

He is survived by his son, Mark Darnall of Benton; his daughters, Eutonia Frizzell, Joanne Price and Loretta Frizzell all of Benton; one sister, Avanell Starks of Tennessee, formerly of Hardin; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; one grandchild; one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Garland Darnall and Cratus Darnall; seven sisters, Ruth Washburn, Elta Pace, Velma Austin, Delza Haymes, Artela Darnall, Margie Brandon and an infant sister. His parents were Poplin Darnall and Eva Trimble Darnall.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Bob Lester officiated and burial with military rites followed in the Haymes Cemetery.
