Anne Rosenblatt Gehring, 68, of Gilbertsville died on July 31, following a three-year battle with ovarian cancer. She worked as a nurse and in numerous volunteer positions before she and her husband retired to Kentucky Lake in 2007.

A native of Evansville, Ind., she graduated from Reitz Memorial High School and St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs. Gehring was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Lib Rosenblatt, and her sister, Mary Heim.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Grant Gehring, of Gilbertsville; daughter Jennifer Thompson of Charlotte, N.C.; sons Andrew Gehring of Canton, Ga., and Matthew Gehring of Denver, Colo.; brother Robert Rosenblatt, Jr. of Sellersburg, Ind.; sisters Cathy Bragin of Evansville and Jean Walk of Huntingburg, Ind.; brother-in-law Donald Heim of Huntingburg, Ind.; four grandchildren and six nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation. A funeral Mass and Rite of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Ind., on Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. EDT.

A memorial Mass will also be held at St. Henry Catholic Church in Aurora at a later date.
