50th Wedding Anniversary: Birdsong

Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Birdsong of Benton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Patti’s 1880’s Settlement in Grand Rivers.

Mr. Birdsong and the former Ann Carol Phillips were married on Valentine’s Day 1964 by the late Bro. Newman Leonard of Hardin.

Mrs. Birdsong is the daughter of the late Bill and Reba Phillips. Mr. Birdson is the son of Autumn and the late Mason Birdsong of Benton.

Gerald retired from the B.F. Goodrich Company of Calvert City and Ann retired from the Benton Elementary School cafeteria and the Stilley House Assisted Living dining room staff.

The Birdsongs have two children, daughter Mitzi and husband Edwin Donohoo of Benton and son Terry Birdsong and wife Melissa Smith of Almo.

They have three grandchildren, Sawyer Donohoo and wife Stephanie Fields Donohoo, Shelby Donohoo and Hastings Birdsong.
