DRAFFENVILLE – Marshall County’s boys and girls soccer teams each won two games in action last week.
First-year coach Andy Pagel’s Marshals ran their mark to 4-0 with a 10-2 win over Mayfield Aug. 22 and a 3-2 win over Graves County the next day.
The perfect record fell when the Marshals had to settle for a 1-1 tie against Heath at home on Thursday night.
Meanwhile, the Lady Marshals of coach Michael Boone were bouncing back from a stuttering start to the season with shutout victories over Mayfield and Calloway County.
The victories, by 4-0 and 6-0 scores respectively, gave the Lady Marshals a record of 2-2-1.
The Marshals are at home to Madisonville-North Hopkins this afternoon, with varsity action starting at 7 p.m.
The Lady Marshals travel to Graves County today.
