Mrs. Lucy Nell (Mathis) Tolbert, 92, of Benton, died Tuesday, May 8, at Lakeway Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Benton.

She was a Beautician for over 30 years. She was a member of Oak Level United Methodist Church and in her later years attended First Missionary Baptist Church in Benton.

She is survived by, one son, Cratis H Tolbert II, of Benton; three sisters, Ann Thweatt, of Gilbertsville, Gretta Morris of Murray, Mary Alice Johnston of Benton; brother, Other Mathis Jr. of Benton; three grandchildren, Shelley Noles, of Benton, David Groves, of Murray, Dusti Lamb, of Benton; and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by serveral nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cratis H. Tolbert Sr.; daughter, Alice Fay Lyles Knasiack; and brothers, James Mathis, Dillard Mathis, and Cratus Mathis. Her parents were Other Mathis Sr. and Gorda (Creason) Mathis.

Funeral services were held May 11, in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton. Bro. Joe Daryl Thorn, Bro. K. Alan Miller, Bro. Paul Lamb, and Bro. David Groves officiated.

Private Interment will take place at the Maplewood Cemetery, Mayfield, KY.

The family asks that memorial contributions be given to the First Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 West 13th Street, Benton, Ky 42025.
